The Ralmax Group was founded in 1978; the company's early days were involved with earth moving equipment operations and a sand and gravel business. Ellice Recycle began in 1994 with the safe and efficient handling of recyclables. From humble beginnings of a small operation the Ellice group has grown to be a significant force in material management and recycling in Victoria.

Ellice is experienced in all aspects of safe material handling, transport and recycling/disposal. Our employees are trained in the safe handling of materials (WHMIS, TDG, etc) and our facilities/fleet are licensed and approved by the provincial and municipal governments for the management, storage and transport of the materials we handle.

The Ralmax Group of Companies was founded in 1978 and has grown to be a significant contributor to the local economy. The Group is comprised of Point Hope Maritime Limited (ship repair), United Engineering Ltd. (metals fabrication), Ralmax Development Inc.(environmental site works and deconstruction), and Ellice Recycle Ltd. (recycling). Ralmax offers moorage facilities at Point Hope and a deep water barge ramp from which it loads and transports its processed urban wood waste. The Ralmax businesses are primarily centered around the Victoria Upper Harbour, helping to sustain a healthy industrial base within the city core.

The Ralmax Group companies directly and indirectly employ over 200 skilled trades and professional staff. The company and its employees have an excellent relationship with the Operating Engineers Local 115. The companies are led by strong, disciplined management teams. Point Hope and United Engineering are ISO 9001 certified, and all Ralmax companies are developing their environmental management systems under ISO 14001.
